Sonny is a seasoned executive professional with over 35 years of experience in M&A, capital raise, technology ventures, real estate investments, and international business development. Sonny leverages his extensive network of contacts and partners in Canada, US, Korea, and other Asian countries to facilitate investments, M&A, financing and international expansion in technology, manufacturing, distribution, retail and service sectors.

His prior experience includes management and financial roles at Avantis, Morguard Investments, Ivanhoe-Cambridge and Davnet Telecom. Sonny has assisted small to global companies including Hyundai, Samsung, Omron, Kia, Daewoo, and Shinhan Financial.

Sonny is also the President & CEO of Canada Korea Business Council, Senior Fellow of Government Relations at Global Public Affairs and Corporate Development Advisor at Insignary, a software supply chain security firm. Sonny served on volunteer organizations including the Board of the Ontario Place Corporation.

Sonny is fluent in Korean and English and holds a Bachelor of Arts in commerce and economics from the University of Toronto.
